Satchel announced that it has successfully achieved SOC 2 Type 1 compliance. This milestone reflects Satchel’s ongoing commitment to protecting customer data and upholding the highest standards in information security and privacy.

SOC 2 compliance, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is a widely recognised benchmark for managing customer data based on five trust service principles: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. The Type 1 report confirms that Satchel has implemented effective controls and processes designed to safeguard sensitive information and ensure reliable service delivery.

The audit was conducted by an independent assessor and verifies that Satchel’s systems and operational procedures meet the rigorous criteria set out for SOC 2 Type 1. The result provides added reassurance to schools, districts, and partners that data managed within Satchel platforms is handled with the highest level of care and compliance.

To support transparency, Satchel is happy to share its Letter of Attestation upon request. This document confirms that Satchel has been independently Tested and Attested in line with SOC 2 standards.
